Mach on action - this is where a charter carys out an action and an other charter ractes to what they do. for example, in G.I. JOE at the begining a man picks up a iron mask and the shot changes to a other man; where his facial slow turns to fear of the mask.
Eyeline Mach - this is where a charter looks at something off screne, then the shot cuts to what they were looking at. this is used in District 9, were he is going to cut off his finger; he looks towards his hand on the rock and the shot changes to the hand on the rock.
180 rule - the camra must sat on one side of the changes, the camra can go anywhere within the side chosen. but it can not go any where on the other side, other wise it would look like both chartes where facing the same way. in Dr. Strangelove, there is a scene in the war room where a number of poeple are having a convesation; the camare never moves form the right hand side on the main charter.
Shot-Reverse shot - if a charter is having a conversation the camrae will swich between both charters, to show there reactions to what has been said. for example, in the clip "the landord" the camare swichs between both charters as they are talking about getting the rent.
Master Shot - This were the camare stays, from start to finish, at a angle that all the charters can be seen; this is commonly a long shot. this is used in a clip called "Master Shot" where two charters meet on a road bright, the angel always stays the same; allowing both chartes to be seen thoughout.
