6th Sence (1999, Shyamalan, US)

the first picture in this image is the title of the film, this gives a good idea of what the film is going to do; making it simple, with black background and white fading text, gives the thought that there is going be something mysterious with in the film and there is a eery feel about the film. my second picture is a setting shot, giving a idea of where the scene is; from this picture you can see that it is a old house but there are electric lights so it has be improved, to modern standers. the third picture is based on the costumes of the actors, they are wearing are of a modern stile; making it clear that is film is of a modern era. the forth picture is an example of a interesting shot that is found in this opening, this is interesting to me as they are using the reflection in the award to film the to actors; this gives a scene of pride that they both have for each other, or that they both special to each other. the firth picture is showing the font style for the titles, the font type of the title is similar to times new roman but the lines on top and bottom of the letter are not as pointed. also, the text is coloured white and has a black background to it, this do not give away very much about content of the film; but is does give a small view into the type of film it will be. the sixth picture is related to the story of 6th sense, one of the main characters in this scene is shot; this gives us a very simple idea that by the man getting shot, it will effect the rest of the story and how it will play out in the end. the seventh picture is related to the style of film, genres. From the picture I have chosen you can see that one of the charters is screaming, this gives me the idea that it may be a thriller; as there has not been any other signs that it could be a horror, which uses similar jump scars to excite the audience. the eighth picture is the introduction of charters, and in this picture you can see that she is falling off the step; which give the idea that she has be drink, this could be for a celebration of some kind. the final picture is a good camera shot that I like, as the charter reads the words on the page it comes into focus. I like this because it is show in the most important info about a charter, in a clear and simple way.
